Magnificent Ruffians – "Firewater" Album Release

December 18th, 2009

Two emcees and a DJ… it does not get any simpler than that. Where other crews seem to fall by the wayside and break up due to money or creative differences, the Magnificent Ruffians have stood the test of time. They first connected in college back in 1998. After a couple years of building with one another they decided to form as a crew and put out there first album in 2000.

The name (Magnificent Ruffians) was inspired by a classic martial arts film by the Shaw Brothers. Much like the movie, these were three hip hop heads coming together for one common cause; To make good music and help revive hip hop back to the high level of lyricism, turntablism, and instrumentalism that made them fall in love with it in the first place. You want real hip hop… this is the crew. Pop in any one of there various cds, turn it up loud, and enjoy!
